Click-through rate (CTR) explained

Click-through rate (CTR) measures how effectively your link page converts visitors into link clicks. It's one of the most important metrics on your analytics page.

How CTR is calculated

CTR = (number of link clicks ÷ number of page views) × 100. For example: 500 clicks on 2,000 views = 25% CTR.

What's a good CTR?

  • Below 15%: low — consider improving your link titles and layout.
  • 15–35%: average — typical for most creators.
  • 35–60%: good — your page is compelling and relevant.
  • Above 60%: excellent — usually achieved with a very focused page and warm audience.

How to improve your CTR

  • Use specific, action-oriented link titles ("Watch my latest video" beats "YouTube").
  • Put your most relevant links at the top.
  • Remove or hide links that get zero clicks — they push important links down.
  • Use A/B testing to find which titles resonate with your audience.
  • Match your link page content to the platform driving the traffic.
