A flat list of links solves one problem and creates another. The more destinations you have, the harder it is for a visitor to see what matters — and the more likely they are to bounce before clicking anything.
Link Stacks let you group related links under a single entry on your profile. It looks like any other link. Tap it, and it expands to reveal the links inside — without navigating away, without opening a new page. Tap it again and it folds back.
Available on every plan. No upgrade required.
What it is
A Link Stack has a title (the thing the visitor sees and taps) and between 2 and 10 nested links. Each nested link has its own title, URL, and optional icon. The order of nested links is drag-reorderable in the dashboard.
On the public profile, a Stack looks identical to a regular link until interaction. A subtle expand icon on the right indicates it will open. When tapped, the nested links fan out below it in a smooth animation. Visitors can tap any nested link to follow it, or tap the header again to collapse the group.
When to use a Link Stack
Use a Link Stack whenever you have multiple links that belong together conceptually but would clutter the profile if shown individually.
- Musicians: Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, YouTube Music, Bandcamp, and Amazon Music for a single track — one Stack entry instead of six buttons. When the next track drops, update the URLs inside the Stack; the entry on your profile stays in the same position.
- Podcasters: links to the same episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Overcast, and Pocket Casts — one "Listen on any app" Stack.
- YouTubers with multiple channels: main channel, clips channel, and second channel — grouped under "Watch" so the profile stays readable.
- Authors: all retailers for the same book (Amazon, Waterstones, Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble) under one "Buy the book" Stack.
- Photographers with multiple portfolios: landscape work, portrait work, commercial work — each Stack unfolds to the right portfolio.
How to add a Link Stack
- 1Open your dashboard and go to Links.
- 2Click Add link and choose Link Stack from the link type picker.
- 3Give the Stack a title — this is what visitors see and tap.
- 4Click Add nested link to add the first destination inside the Stack.
- 5Add between 2 and 10 nested links. Each needs a title and URL.
- 6Drag to reorder. Click Save.
The Stack appears on your profile immediately. Test it by opening your public profile and tapping the Stack header.
Tips
- Keep Stack titles short. "Stream this track" is better than "Listen to Velvet Hours on your preferred music streaming platform of choice".
- Put the most popular destination first inside the Stack. Most visitors will tap the first option.
- You can have as many Stacks as you want on a profile. They behave independently — opening one does not close another.
- Stacks work inside timed link rules. You can schedule an entire Stack to appear on release day and expire after the promo window, the same as a regular timed link.
