Using Doc Links for your press kit or portfolio
Add a press kit, portfolio, resume, or publication to your profile so visitors can read your documents without leaving your page.
Before you begin
- A Linkstacked account
- Your press kit, portfolio, CV, or publication as a PDF or image file
Step 1 of 4
· 5 minPrepare your file
Doc Links support PDFs and images (JPG, PNG, WebP). Before uploading:
- For press kits: Export your EPK as a single PDF. Aim for under 10 MB so it loads quickly. Include: bio, hi-res photo (embedded), streaming/follower stats, previous press, booking/contact info.
- For portfolios: Either export a PDF portfolio, or collect your best individual images (JPG or PNG). A mix works well: a short PDF overview followed by individual high-resolution images.
- For resumes and CVs: Export from Word or Google Docs as PDF. Keep it clean. A single-page PDF loads instantly in the reader.
- For publications: PDFs of papers, tearsheets, or articles. If the original is on a publisher's site, export the page as PDF from your browser.
File limits: maximum 8 files per Doc Link, maximum 50 MB per file. Supported: PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP.
Step 2 of 4
· 3 minCreate the Doc Link
- 1Open your Linkstacked dashboard.
- 2Go to your profile's link list.
- 3Click Add link.
- 4Select Doc Link from the link type picker.
- 5Enter a title. Examples: "My press kit", "Portfolio 2026", "Read my CV", "Publications".
- 6Click Upload files and select your prepared file(s).
- 7If you have multiple files, drag them into the order you want them to appear in the reader.
- 8Click Save.
Step 3 of 4
· 1 minTest it on your profile
Open your public profile in a new tab. Tap the Doc Link. The reader modal should open. Navigate through pages or swipe between files. Close the modal. You should be back on your profile.
If the PDF does not load, check the file size (must be under 50 MB per file) and try again.
Step 4 of 4
· 1 minKeep it updated
When you update your press kit or CV:
- 1Open the Doc Link in your dashboard.
- 2Delete the old file.
- 3Upload the new version.
- 4Click Save.
Visitors who open the link after the update see the new file immediately. The Doc Link stays in the same position on your profile.
- For press kits, name the file with a date before uploading (EPK-July-2026.pdf) so you can track versions in your uploads.
- Coaches and consultants: a "How I work" PDF in the Doc Link converts cold traffic significantly better than a text bio alone. Prospects who read your methodology before booking a call are more committed.
- Writers: if you have more than 8 clips, create a PDF document with links to each piece rather than uploading each article individually.
